ZEB1 and breast carcinoma: In this paper, based on the transcriptional regulatory mechanisms between two key genes (zeb1 and cdh1) in the developmental process of breast cancer cells, we proposed a general kinetic model of the genes regulation mechanisms for each cancer cell, our results showed that each cancer cell also exists three phenotypic states (i.e., the stem-like, basal, and luminal states), and there are interconversions between the three phenotypic states.
