AFP and hepatitis B virus infection: Serum AFP level was significantly higher in HCC (6105.64 ± 18271.30 ng/mL) than that in liver cirrhosis (1324.62 ± 7535.15 ng/mL, P < 0.001), healthy control (75.35 ± 922.15 ng/mL, P < 0.001), hepatitis B and hepatitis C (10.84 ± 29.17 ng/mL, P < 0.001), and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (10.70 ± 20.99 ng/mL, P < 0.001) (see Supplementary Table S3).
