CRP and clostridium difficile infection: In the multivariate logistic regression, concomitant bloodstream infection (OR: 8.48, 95% CI: 1.65–43.49; P = 0.010), pulmonary infection (OR: 6.03, 95% CI: 1.16–31.36; P = 0.033) and CRP ≥100 mg/L (OR: 2.93, 95% CI: 1.34–6.42; P = 0.007) remained significantly associated with severe CDI.
