We identify several others genes that we believe have a potential to become therapeutic targets in the future: RAB18 is a small GTPase that could be targeted to halt or reduce dengue virus infection [90]; blockers of KCNB1, a voltage-gated ion channel, have been suggested as hypoglycaemic agents for type II diabetes [91–93]; TAB 1, a TGFB downstream effector that activates the MAP kinase TAK1 [94], has been validated as a triptolide target in macrophages and has promise as a therapeutic target for immunoinflammatory indications [95]. This evidence concerns the gene KCNB1 and dengue disease.
