Up to 89% of hepatoblastoma tumors in Taiwan have been reported to contain mutations, including deletions and missense mutations, in exon 3 of the β-catenin (CTNNB1) gene, and 87% in a Western study were reported to carry mutations within the ubiquitination domain of the β-catenin (CTNNB1) gene [10, 20]. This evidence concerns the gene CTNNB1 and hepatoblastoma.
