F10 and Stroke: Edoxaban, another factor Xa inhibitor, was studied in phase III trials and compared with warfarin. This multicenter study was double-blinded with respect to the factor Xa inhibitor, edoxaban, and single-blinded with respect to warfarin. In this study, 536 patients were randomly assigned to either warfarin or a low, medium, or high dose of 30, 45, or 60 mg of edoxaban a day. This three-month trial measured stroke prevention as a prior outcome and bleeding risk as an adverse event.
