Conversely, claudin-4 overexpression has been positively correlated with increased invasiveness [29–31], metastasis [32, 33], angiogenesis [34] and poor prognosis [35, 36] in several other cancer types, including breast [32, 35, 37, 38], gastric [31, 36, 39], lung [40], ovarian [29, 34, 41, 42], prostate [33] and uterine cancers [43]. This evidence concerns the gene CLDN4 and uterine cancer.
