Univariate analysis indicated that other clinical and pathological parameters such as lymph node invasion (P=0.047), distant metastasis (P=0.025) and TNM stage (P=0.021) were also significantly associated with patients’ prognosis, but multivariate analysis demonstrated that only lncRNA XIST expression (P=0.039) and distant metastasis (P=0.033) were independent prognostic factors for CRC patients (Supplementary Table S2). This evidence concerns the gene XIST and colorectal carcinoma.
