Nevertheless, when testing EGFR mutations in the plasma ctDNA, the sensitivity of ARMS was only 48.2–67.4% compared to the matched tumor tissue, in spite of a high specificity of 93.5–99%[29,35, 39–41], which indicates that the blood-based EGFR mutation testing method is limited by a relatively low sensitivity.
