INS and type 2 diabetes mellitus: A nationwide Chinese multicentre, clinic-based cross-sectional study identified 4880 ketosis-free diabetes patients (<1 year post-diagnosis, without insulin therapy for more than 6 months and aged more than 30.0 years), of whom 5.9% were GADA-positive and designated LADA, and these LADA patients had HLA diabetes-susceptible haplotypes, while HLA diabetes-protective haplotypes were less frequent than the Type 2 diabetes patients who did not have GADA [31].
