Table 1 showed that the delirium patients had higher serum galectin‐3, S100B, and C‐reactive protein levels, higher APCHCE II score, as well as a higher percentage of congenital heart disease, severe acute pancreatitis, acute heart failure, urolithiasis complicated with infection, obstetric hemorrhage, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, intrauterine infection complicated with sepsis, vasoactive agent use, mechanical ventilation, and requirement for blood purification. This evidence concerns the gene S100B and infection.
