The striking similarity between our data on anti-viral CD8+ T cell responses in Zbtb32-/- mice compared to that seen following infection of Prdm1-/- mice [13–15] prompted us to examine if the double-deficiency of ZBTB32 and Blimp-1 enhances the generation of virus-specific CD8+ T cells, compared to a single-deficiency of each factor. This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and infection.
