Next, we compared the global gene expression profiling of the HCC tumors in the upper quartile with highest expression of FASN (n = 93) with the lower quartile with the lowest expression of FASN (n = 93) using DESeq package (Anders & Huber, 2010) to analyze the expression profile of liver‐specific genes and their key role in cancer progression. Here, FASN is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
