Fast ionotropic nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) subunit genes, α2 (Chrna2), α4 (Chrna4) and β2 (Chrnb2), have been affiliated with autosomal dominant nocturnal frontal lobe epilepsy (ADNFLE) when mutated. Here, CHRNB2 is linked to autosomal dominant nocturnal frontal lobe epilepsy.
