This translocation causes the activation of oncogene MYB through gene fusion with NFIB (nuclear factor I/B).9 The fused MYB-NFIB was soon verified in many cases of ACC at different organs and was established as a genetic hallmark of ACC.10 Indeed, MYB-NFIB fusion has been confirmed in many LGACC cases. The gene discussed is NFIB; the disease is adrenal cortex carcinoma.
