We investigated a panel of 7 human BCCs, and detected strong nuclear GLI2, YAP and β-catenin expression, concomitant with increased phosphorylation of ROCK-substrate MYPT in cancer keratinocytes of all BCC patients (Fig 5A–5E and S1 Fig) compared to in wildtype skin. This evidence concerns the gene GLI2 and skin basal cell carcinoma.
