The NOV (nephroblastoma overexpressed) gene (also known as CCN3) is a new member of the CCN family of secreted, extracellular matrix (ECM)-associated regulatory factors that are involved in internal and external cell signaling and play a role in angiogenesis and osteogenesis, and in the control of cell proliferation and differentiation47, 48, even against human adrenocortical tumor cells49. This evidence concerns the gene CCN3 and adrenal cortex neoplasm.
