In Lacaune sheep, a previous transcriptomic study of SCC associated 7 genes – cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA4), suppressor of cytokine signalling 2 (SOCS2), oncostatin M receptor (OSMR), FYN oncogene related to SRC (FYN), complement factor B (CFB) and isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 (NADP+), soluble (IDH2) – with mastitis susceptibility [32]. The gene discussed is CTLA4; the disease is mastitis.
