ATAD1 and malaria: In a moderately stable malaria transmission setting where there are two seasonal peaks of transmission (one major and the other minor), an assessment of AbPR using a number of antigens including Apical Membrane Antigen 1 (AMA1) and MSP1[48] in the month immediately after the major peak revealed that the estimate from school children (AbPR = 51.5%, 95% CI 49.2%, 53.8%) was concordant with that of the same age strata in the population (AbPR = 51.5%, 95% CI 49.9%, 53.1%, p = 1.000), and remained so with increasing distance within the school catchment area.
