CTS patients were readily distinguished from controls based on their chemokine (CCL4, CCL5, CXCL10, CCL2, and CXCL8) profile with 80.8% classification accuracy (Gamma = 0.893, P < 0.00001; Kappa = 0.615, P < 0.00001) and their growth/stimulating factor (VEGF, PDGF, and G-CSF) profile with 69.2% classification accuracy (Gamma = 0.703, P < 0.002; Kappa = 0.385, P < 0.004). The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is carpal tunnel syndrome.
