Our analysis showed that compared to healthy controls, CTS patients have a significant increase in the frequency of CD4+ central memory (CCR7+ CD45RO+) T cells (P = 0.0042) and effector memory (CCR7-CD45RO+) T cells (P = 0.048) (Fig. 3A,C), with no change in the frequency of total or suppressive Treg cells (Fig. 3A) or in CD8+ naïve, effector, and memory cells (Fig. 3B,D). Here, CD8A is linked to carpal tunnel syndrome.
