Further analysis to determine the best independent discriminators between CTS patients and controls using DFA with stepwise method revealed that CCL5 levels alone predicted CTS with 76.9% accuracy (Gamma = 0.839, P < 0.0001; Kappa = 0.38, P < 0.0001) and VEGF levels alone predicted CTS with 69.2% accuracy (Gamma = 0.835, P < 0.004; Kappa = 0.385, P < 0.001). The gene discussed is CCL5; the disease is carpal tunnel syndrome.
