IL-17 (also known as IL-17A) is a representative cytokine produced by Th17 cells, which can be induced by the release of IL-8, CXC, and other neutrophil chemokines to raise and activate neutrophils [2–4], and animal and clinical analysis of samples have proved that Th17 cells and IL-17 play important roles in the pathogenesis of asthma. This evidence concerns the gene IL17A and asthma.
