4 hours post infection there was no difference in CFP-levels between target or control siRNA treated cells, whereas the CFP-levels were significantly higher in cells treated with siMyD88, siTLR7 or siTLR8 compared to non-targeting control 3 days post infection, suggesting that TLR7/8/MyD88 signaling is central in controlling intracellular growth of Mav in human primary macrophages (Fig 8B and 8C).
