In line with these findings, IL-10−/− mice fed a saturated milk fat-derived diet resulted in an increased severity of colitis associated with a colonic Th1 profile and presence of CD4+ IFN-γ+ cells in the mesenteric lymph nodes (MLNs) as a result of blooming of an opportunistic bacteria Bilophila wadsworthia (126) (Figure 4).
