In vivo experiments in a murine model of OVA-induced airway inflammation showed that miR-34/449 overexpression suppressed the OVA-induced upregulation of IL-5, IL-6 and TNF-α in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) similar to autophagy inhibition, as determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA; Figures 7a–c).
