ZEB2 and ovarian carcinoma: A comparative study investigating expression of the miR-200 family, ZEB1 and ZEB2 transcriptional repressors in normal OSE vs. 15 EOC cell lines and 70 ovarian carcinoma tissues revealed that malignant transformation is associated with acquisition of more epithelial traits, such as upregulation of miR-200 family members and attenuation of ZEB1/2 [199], supporting the occurrence of MET, not EMT, during early stages of ovarian cancer progression.
