Not surprisingly, patients included in our study had a higher serum IgE levels (P < 0.001) (Fig. 1a), increased levels of eosinophil in induced sputum (P < 0.001) (Fig. 1b), and FeNO (P = 0.002) (Fig. 1c), as these were known factors in patients with asthma. This evidence concerns the gene IGHE and asthma.
