In women without PCOS, age was significantly positively correlated with changes in fasting insulin in response to training (r = 0.76; P = 0.047) while higher total body fat (r = -0.82; P = 0.03) and gynoid fat (r = -0.82; P = 0.03) at baseline were negatively correlated with changes in fasting glucose, and gynoid fat was also negatively correlated with change in gynoid fat (r = -0.77; P = 0.04). This evidence concerns the gene INS and polycystic ovary syndrome.
