Suppression of GRP78 expression by short hairpin RNA (shRNA) or blocking its function by antibodies suppresses fungal invasion of host cells and drastically decreases endothelial cell injury caused by R. delemar but not that of other fungal pathogens like C. albicans or A. fumigatus.
