GAS5 and prostate carcinoma: For example, it has been reported to suppress the migration and invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma cells via miR-21[23], inhibit the proliferation of bladder transitional cell carcinoma via regulation of CCL1[26], negatively regulate human glioma cells survival and proliferation[27], enhance G1 cycle arrest by binding to YBX1[28], etc. In prostate cancer, existing studies also suggested GAS5 might act as a tumor suppressor.
