Previous studies indicated that PEDF binds specifically to two receptors, namely ATGL and LR.19 PEDF receptors are essential for the biological effects of PEDF on various cells.18, 19, 20 To determine whether PEDF binds to ATGL or LR, an immunoprecipitation (co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP)) assay was performed to identify the molecules that interact with PEDF in HCC cell lines and HCC tissues. The gene discussed is PNPLA2; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
