Among all the 17 blood biomarkers, the estimated concentrations of albumin (p < 0.001), hemoglobin (p < 0.001), total cholesterol (p < 0.001), prealbumin (p < 0.001) and total protein (p < 0.05) for subjects identified by MNA as at high malnutrition risk were statistically lower than those without a malnutrition risk (Table 1). The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is malnutrition.
