Further analysis of miRNA expression profiling of patients with progressive supranuclear palsy, a neurodegenerative disease caused by Tau 4R isoform overexpression, showed that miR-132 level were significantly downregulated in a patients’ brain, whereas the level of polypyrimidine tract-binding protein 2 (PTBP2), a target of miR-132, increased obviously. The gene discussed is PTBP2; the disease is neurodegenerative disease.
