The UK Glucose Insulin in Stroke Trial (GIST‐UK) enrolled 933 (134 [14.4%] were ICH) stroke patients with admission glucose between 6.0 and 17.0 mmol/L to targeted glycemic control (4.0–7.0 mmol/L) or no intervention.36 There was no reduction in 90‐day mortality in the intervention group (OR 1.14, 95% CI 0.86–1.51, P=0.37).
