Isoliquiritigenin, a flavonoid from Glycyrrhiza glabra, induced apoptosis in a human breast cancer cell line (MDA-MB-231) by down-regulating multiple key enzymes in the AA metabolic network, such as sPLA2 and deactivation of the PI3K/Akt pathway21–23, 26. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and breast carcinoma.
