Tyrosine kinase inhibitors and monoclonal antibodies that inhibit EGFR signaling have been developed as EGFR inhibitors [7] and have proven effective in the treatment of various cancers including non-small cell lung cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, and squamous cell cancer of the head and neck [8–11]. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
