Sabatier et al reported that PD-L1 mRNA upregulation was associated with better survival and response to chemotherapy in patients with TNBC.21 Schalper et al also reported that PD-L1 mRNA expression is associated with increased TILs and improved recurrence-free survival rates.32 Our data showed no survival differences according to PD-L1 or PD-1 expression in any of the breast cancer subtypes. This evidence concerns the gene CD274 and breast carcinoma.
