TIMP2 and acute kidney injury: On a continuous scale, there was increased risk of AKI per doubling of urine TIMP-2 and protein levels (hazard ratio [HR] = 1.47, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 1.08–2.00, P = .02; HR = 2.28, 95% CI = 1.05–4.94, P = .04, respectively), but the association became nonsignificant after adjustment (adjusted HR [aHR] = 1.34, 95% CI = 0.95–1.88, P = .09; aHR = 2.23, 95% CI = 0.92–5.41, P = .07).
