Lee et al.(5) reported that the odds ratios for iron deficiency [serum ferritin level <12 μg/L and transferrin saturation <16%] and IDA (Hb <13 g/dl and iron deficiency) in subjects with vitamin D deficiency [25(OH)D <15 ng/ml] were 1.86 (95% CI, 1.07–3.22) and 2.59 (95% CI, 1.11–6.07) after controlling for other risk factors in healthy Korean women. This evidence concerns the gene TF and vitamin D deficiency.
