Consistent with their more invasive status as established by the Transwell migration assays (Fig. 4a, ii), 468-shCDH1-B displayed classical “high-grade” tumor aggressiveness features such as multinucleated giant cells (Fig. 9b) and an Indian file histology characteristic of lobular breast cancers, which are defined by a lack of E-cadherin. Here, CDH1 is linked to breast cancer.
