Bilan et al., showed that the PPAR-γ agonist Rosiglitazone, dosed from 8 to 32 weeks of age, reduced blood pressure, hyperglycemia, renal fibrosis, and albuminuria, in spite of pronounced drug-induced obesity (despite a marked reduction in food intake) [10]. Here, PPARG is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
