We combined the 17 and 63 ALS patient groups and assessed nine leukocyte phenotypes that were measured equivalently as cells/μl and percentages of larger groups, or as ratio: granulocytes (by Side and Forward scatter), CD14+ monocytes, CD19+ B cells, CD56+CD16+ NK cells, CD3+ T cells, CD4+ T cells, CD8+ T cells, CD4/CD8 ratio, and CD3+CD56+ cells. This evidence concerns the gene NCAM1 and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
