DAPK1 and Cirrhosis: Interestingly, the significant association between DAPK1 staining and time to progression was not observed in patients without cirrhosis (p = 0.171; Fig. 2D), but in the subgroup of patients with cirrhosis, positive staining of DAPK1 was associated with significantly longer time to progression (mean time to progression = 42.0 months, 95% CI [27.1–56.9] months) compared to those patients with negative staining of DAPK1 (mean time to progression = 15.9 months, 95% CI [8.4–23.4] months, p = 0.009; Fig. 2E).
