In the present study, genetic polymorphisms in CDKN2A/B, HHEX, TCF7L2, KCNJ11, CDKAL1, JAZF1, CDC123/CAMK1D, BCL11A, NOTCH2, THADA, LEPR, ADAM30, VEGFA, ADRB2, ADRB3, PPARG, PPARGC1A, GCKR, and MADD genes were not significantly associated with T2DM risk, MS, obesity, or with quantitative metabolic traits (TGs, cholesterol, LDL, HDL), blood pressure, or BMI. This evidence concerns the gene ADAM30 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
