MTOR and Hyperglycemia: The greater PFS benefit associated with everolimus plus exemestane was accompanied by increased toxicity, including a higher incidence of mTOR-inhibitor class-effect adverse events (AEs) such as stomatitis, non-infectious pneumonitis (NIP) and hyperglycemia, as well as higher incidences of hematologic toxicity, asthenia, fatigue, and weight loss.
