Pearson correlation analysis of data obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas revealed a significant positive correlation between phosphorylated MAPK1/2 and phosphorylated GSK3β (r=0.409 across all tumors and r=0.596 for ovarian tumors) and between phosphorylated MEK and phosphorylated GSK3β (r=0.271 across all tumors and r=0.651 for ovarian tumors), suggesting that interplay between MEK signaling and GSK3β phosphorylation can be manifested in clinical tumor samples (Figure 3g). This evidence concerns the gene MAP2K7 and neoplasm.
