Diabetes mellitus (OR = 16; 95% CI [1.7–153.5]; p = 0.016), increased blood urea nitrogen (OR = 1.12; 95% CI [1.02–1.20], p = 0.016), and decreased C-reactive protein (OR = 0.97; 95% CI [0.96–0.99]; p = 0.027) were identified as independent factors predicting increased pancreatic enzymes. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and diabetes mellitus.
