S1PR2 and infectious otitis media: S1PR2 signaling has also been shown to have effects on endothelial cell function during hyperglycemia (Chen et al., 2015; Liu et al., 2016) and while AOM-induced liver failure generally leads to reduced blood glucose levels (Matkowskyj et al., 1999), which was controlled through dextrose injection in this study, the crosstalk between altered blood glucose levels and S1PR2-mediated effects were not investigated.
