To elucidate the association of Axl and MZF1 overexpression with the progression of cervical cancer and degree of HPV16/18 infection, we assessed the expression of Axl and MZF1 in both normal human cervix tissues from 10 individuals and cervical cancer tissues from 100 different patients by immunohistochemistry using tissue microarray. The gene discussed is MZF1; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
