We identified 645 DE genes between putatively resistant and susceptible individuals in the non-infected state at a q-value of 10%, including ATPV1B2, FEZ2, PSMA2, TNFRSF25, and TRIM38. The log2 fold change in gene expression for these 645 genes was relatively small (less than 2), which was expected given that susceptibility to TB is a polygenic trait influenced by many genes. This evidence concerns the gene TNFRSF25 and tuberculosis.
