A similar trend in OS between these two groups (P = .10) was noted in our previous evaluation of AIDS-related DLBCL.16 However, low CD4+ counts are a decreasingly important factor in determining OS for patients with aggressive HIV-associated lymphomas in the era of contemporary cART in the United States and Europe,28 and monitoring of trends in resource-limited settings remains important because good outcomes may still be achievable in this high-risk patient population. Here, CD4 is linked to AIDS.
